FIELD: geophysical studies; oil wells.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of geophysical studies of existing oil wells equipped with a metal casing, in particular to methods for determining operating inflow/absorption intervals, and can be used to monitor the technical condition of the well. The method includes running a downhole tool containing an induction heater and temperature sensors along the wellbore, inductively heating the casing string, registering thermograms using temperature sensors simultaneously with heating, and determining operating intervals by an increased rate of temperature change. At the same time, the downhole tool is centered along the axis of the well, and the induction heating of the casing metal string is carried out when the downhole tool moves both against the flow of the downhole fluid and along the flow, ensuring the movement of the heating front in the direction of tool movement. Registration of thermograms is carried out by scanning the temperature of the inner surface of the casing string with temperature sensors uniformly distributed along the circumference of the cross section of the downhole tool body and having thermal contact with the inner surface of the casing metal string. The movement of the device is carried out along the wellbore at a constant speed.
EFFECT: reducing the operating costs and improving the accuracy of identifying anomalies in temperature changes associated with operating intervals and behind-the-casing flows.
