FIELD: diagnosing the condition of equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for assessing and predicting the technical condition of DC electric motors to prevent emergency situations. The method for assessing the state of a DC motor includes the collection and analysis of data on changes in the magnitude of the motor armature current. At the same time, the type of histograms of the current distribution density of the motor armature and its average values are compared for the current estimated time period of operation and the period of operation, in which it was known in advance that the motor and all its elements were in good condition. If the histograms do not match, a conclusion is made about the violation of the technical condition of the DC motor. The root mean square deviations of the set of armature current strength values are also compared for the current estimated time period of operation of the electric motor and the set of values of the electric motor armature current strength values, at which it is known that the electric motor and all its elements were in good condition. If the ratio of the mean square deviations exceeds the critical value, a conclusion is made about the violation of the technical condition of the electric motor.

EFFECT: possibility of assessing the state of the electric motor by the registered values of the rotor current.
