FIELD: medicine; surgical dentistry; implantology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the stability of the oxide layer of the surface of a dental implant. The investigated implant is immersed in bidistillate and exposed to ultrasound at a frequency of 35 kHz with a power of 50 W 3 times: for 5 minutes, for 10 minutes and for 20 minutes, the total exposure time is 35 minutes. Supernatants containing nanosized metal particles are obtained. The size and frequency of occurrence of nanosized particles separated from the surface of the implant after 35 minutes of treatment are determined. When the content of these particles is less than 325 kcps and the size is less than 160+/-10 nm, the oxide layer of the surface of the dental implant is evaluated as stable.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to evaluate the stability of the oxide layer of dental implants by determining the size and frequency of occurrence of nanosized particles separated from the surface of the implant after 35 minutes of sonication.
