FIELD: antenna technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the construction of a radio telescope with a parabolic mirror mounted on an aircraft lighter than air. The idea of the invention is to combine a disk-shaped airship and a parabolic mirror of a radio telescope into a single whole. To do this, the inner surface of the lower shell of the airship is made in the form of a paraboloid and its metallization is carried out. And the upper shell is made of a radio-transparent material and a secondary mirror is installed in its center, mechanically connected to the lower shell, under which a control cabin with radio equipment is installed.
EFFECT: invention will allow, at relatively low cost, to create ultra-large radio telescopes with a diameter of hundreds of meters.
