FIELD: radar astronomy.
SUBSTANCE: use to create a radio telescope with a parabolic mirror. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that in the first version the containers with helium consist of two parts, upper and lower hemispheres, each of which is attached to its section of the mirror surface, from above and from below, respectively. In the second version, these containers are located between the layers of a double-layer mirror, capable of changing its curvature, by changing the distance between the layers, which is carried out using a rope tensioning system. Main reflector together with the counter-reflector is attached through the lattice girder to the vertical rotary device with a counterweight. All this is located at the end of the retractable support, which in the idle position together with the mirror is retracted into the shelter and the shaft located at its center.
EFFECT: enabling unloading of a radio telescope mirror from its own weight using aerostatic forces acting on the side of containers with helium.
