SUBSTANCE: network configuration parameter of the UE is obtained by the user equipment (UE). It is determined whether the network configuration parameter of the UE is less than the set threshold, and that it is less than the set threshold is used to indicate that the UE's Internet speed is limited. If the network configuration parameter of the UE is smaller than the set threshold value, a power reduction procedure is started by the UE.
EFFECT: reduction of the UE power consumption by starting the UE power reduction procedure when the UE Internet speed is limited in order to prolong the UE's timeout and improve the user experience.
