FIELD: smoking articles.
SUBSTANCE: filter includes a filter segment containing a filter material and having a cross-sectional area measured perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the filter, an aroma delivery element built into the filter segment and surrounded on all sides by the filter material. The aroma delivery element comprises a structural material impregnated with a liquid flavour to flavour the smoke during smoking. The aroma delivery element releases at least a portion of the liquid flavour when the filter is subjected to an external force. The filter material of the filter segment contains fibres from 5.0 to 12.0 denier per thread and from 10,000 to 35,000 denier in total.
EFFECT: process of transferring the aroma into the smoke is optimized while maintaining the desired properties of the smoking article.
