SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of obtaining polymers with a system of conjugated bonds by polymerization of parasubstituted phenylacetylenes and can be used to obtain organic materials with semiconductor properties in the production of memory devices, integrated circuits, solar cells, air batteries, gas separation membranes and gas storage devices. The method for producing polymers of para-substituted phenylacetylenes consists in the interaction of para-substituted phenylacetylene in the presence of a metal complex catalyst, while the cationic complex of palladium tetrafluoroborate (acetylacetonato) bis (tri (o-methoxyphenyl) phosphine) of the formula [Pd(acac)(TOMPP)2]BF4, the process is carried out at a molar ratio of monomer to palladium equal to 500:1 and a temperature of 25°C, and para-methylphenylacetylene, para-tert-butylphenylacetylene, para-fluorophenylacetylene are used as para-substituted phenylacetylenes.

EFFECT: creating a method for producing polymers of parasubstituted phenylacetylenes with a high conversion of the monomer into a polymer (TON>100 molPFA/molPh), characterized by a narrower molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn<2.5), lower cost of the catalyst and the ability to polymerize various parasubstituted phenylacetylenes.
