SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a polypeptide dimer capable of binding to IgE. The polypeptide dimer contains two monomers, each containing the extracellular domain of the alpha subunit of the IgE Fc receptor (FcεRIa-ECD). Also a polynucleotide that encodes a monomer contained in the said polypeptide dimer is proposed, wherein the monomer contains the extracellular domain of the alpha subunit of the IgE Fc receptor (FcεRIa-ECD). Also an expression vector, a host cell, a pharmaceutical composition, a food composition, a method for producing a polypeptide dimer, and a method for treating or preventing an allergic disease are proposed. The polypeptide dimer binds to IgE and exhibits fewer side effects due to the lack of ADCC and CDC functions.

EFFECT: invention can be used to treat or prevent an IgE-mediated allergic disease.
