FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related specifically to variants of a method for manufacturing a three-dimensional computer model of an individual abutment for a dental implant intended for a patient by means of a computer. The abutment has a base, a connecting structure for attachment to a pin dental implant, a coronally directed surface of the abutment platform for supporting a prosthetic superstructure, and a screw channel for attaching to a pin dental implant. This provides a computer-readable three-dimensional image of the patient's jaw in the region of the jaw where the abutment is to be placed. The preparation margin is chosen depending on the patient's individual gum configuration where the abutment should be placed. The three-dimensional geometry of the abutment above the preparation margin is determined. The emergence profile of the abutment is determined. Below the preparation margin for the three-dimensional geometry of the platform, a plate-shaped version of the coronally directed surface of the platform is provided. Based on a certain emergence profile, the thickness of the material of the abutment platform is selected within the specified area embedded in the electronic memory. In another embodiment of the method, a three-dimensional initial computer model of a patient-specific abutment is provided. The initial computer model is shaped so that the area extending radially between the screw channel of the abutment and the emergence profile of the abutment is depicted as filled with material. A transformation is performed in order to obtain a three-dimensional computer model from the initial computer model, in which, below the preparation margin of the three-dimensional geometry of the platform, a plate-shaped execution of the coronally directed surface is carried out with the thickness of the platform material based on a certain emergence profile within the specified area embedded in the electronic memory.
EFFECT: creation of a three-dimensional computer model of an abutment for a dental implant, which is individualized for the patient and due to this, the abutment made according to it is better suite for the patient's gums and jawbone.
