FIELD: nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: form a hybrid nanocomposite coating based on a porous alumina matrix on the surface of aluminum or aluminum alloy. The method includes several successive stages: surface preparation of aluminum or aluminum alloy; formation of a nanoporous alumina matrix with a thickness of 8 to 12 microns by anodizing aluminum or an aluminum alloy in an aqueous solution of sulfuric acid; modification of the alumina matrix with catalytically active manganese dioxide nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles with antimicrobial properties. To modify the alumina matrix with manganese dioxide nanoparticles, the method of thermal decomposition of potassium permanganate is used. Modification with silver nanoparticles is carried out by successive impregnation of the alumina matrix with an aqueous solution of silver nitrate and an aqueous solution of sodium chloride, followed by treatment with ultraviolet radiation.
EFFECT: simplification of method while ensuring the presence of manganese dioxide nanoparticles and silver nanoparticles in the coating composition.
