SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rod pumps and can be used in the extraction of oil from wells, the operation of which is complicated by the removal of mechanical impurities. The rod pump for oil production from wells with a wash-out of mechanical impurities, includes a cylinder with a suction valve, a plunger with a discharge valve and a hollow cylindrical casing. The hollow cylindrical casing is securely fixed in the upper part with the cylinder and is made with inlet slotted filtration holes covered with a metal mesh and a gas bypass valve. At the same time, the rod pump is adapted for attaching to the column lift pipes. In the upper part, the cylindrical casing is made with a safety valve that responds to a pressure drop of 0.2 MPa. In the lower part, the cylindrical casing is provided with a container with a plug made of at least two tubing pipes. The cylinder is equipped with a nozzle with an expanding funnel, while the length of the nozzle is at least 1 m. The inlet slotted filtration holes on the cylindrical casing are located at the level between the suction valve and the expanding funnel.

EFFECT: increase in functional capabilities and increase in the service life of the rod pump, as well as increase in the overhaul period of the well and a reduced number of underground repairs of downhole equipment.
