FIELD: medicine; cosmetology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the type of dermal filler in the correction of age-related changes in facial tissues. An MRI of 1.5 T is performed in three mutually perpendicular projections in T1 VI, T2 VI, STIR and FLAIR modes. When detecting areas of hypointense signal in T1 WI, hyperintense in T2 WI and in STIR, and iso- or hypointense in FLAIR, a filler based on hyaluronic acid is determined. If the intensity of the MR signal in at least one of the modes differs from the specified one, a filler of a non-hyaluronic nature is determined.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine the type of dermal filler when correcting age-related changes in facial tissues using MRI data.
