FIELD: analytical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: calibration of gas analysis instruments. The inventions can be used in all areas of engineering where analytical control of the composition of gaseous media is required. The manual welding tool contains a heat-conducting working body mounted on a holder with two working surfaces of a conical and spherical shape. The working body of the device is heated by a heating element connected to the electrical circuit and isolated from the working body by an electrical insulator. The device makes it possible to implement a method for manufacturing a microflow source in the following way. The working body is warmed up to a predetermined temperature. A tube of the required length is cut from the polymer tube blank. One end of the tube is sealed due to the material of its walls, namely, the end of the tube is rotated on the conical working surface of the manual welding tool, while the diameter of the tube at the place of heating is narrowed. This end of the tube is finally welded by rotating the narrowed end on the spherical working surface of a hand-held welding tool heated to the welding temperature. The weld is cooled down, the other end of the tube is filled with liquid phase dosimeter and optionally cooled until the dosimeter solidifies. Then the remaining open end of the tube is welded in a similar way.
EFFECT: expanding the scope and simplifying the manufacturability of microflow sources.
