FIELD: medicine, gastroenterology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to assess the effect of drinking mineral water on gastric evacuation. Using magnetic resonance imaging 30 minutes after taking in the morning on an empty stomach 200 ml of ordinary drinking water at room temperature on the first day of the study and 200 ml of the studied drinking mineral water — on the second day of the study, the residual volume of fluid in the stomach is determined. The ratio of the residual volume of ordinary water to the residual volume of mineral water is determined. If the ratio is less than 0.9, it is concluded that gastric evacuation is slowed down under the influence of this mineral water. If the ratio is from 0.9 to 1.1, it is concluded that there is no effect of mineral water on gastric evacuation. If the ratio is more than 1.1, it is concluded that gastric evacuation is accelerated under the influence of this mineral water.
EFFECT: method provides a non-invasive, safe assessment of the effect of drinking mineral water on gastric evacuation.
