FIELD: refrigeration or heat engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to refrigeration machines or heat pumps using the magnetocaloric effect for cooling or heating. The magnetic heat engine comprises a magnetic working fluid, hot and cold heat exchangers, pumps for creating a coolant flow, switches for the direction of the coolant flow, as well as a magnet moving relative to the working fluid for its magnetization/demagnetization. The difference is that crystalline fullerite with intercalated iron clusters is used as the working fluid substance.
EFFECT: versatility with respect to operating temperatures and reduced cost of a magnetic heat engine.
