SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose pathologies of the pancreas. At the stage of preoperative planning, the patient is subjected to selective angiography of the splenic artery with occlusion of the distal portion of the splenic artery with a balloon catheter at the level of the beginning of the division of the splenic artery into terminal splenic branches and the origin of the left gastroepiploic artery.

EFFECT: invention provides high-quality contrasting of all branches of the splenic artery, allows to get a clear idea of the anatomy and topography of all branches of the splenic artery in a particular patient, which, in turn, will allow to carry out preoperative planning of the intervention and avoid intra- and postoperative complications.
