FIELD: medicine; histological studies.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to make histological specimens of an enucleated eye. First, Davidson's fixative solution is injected into the eyeball. After that, the eyeball is placed in Davidson's fixative solution. Upon completion of the fixation process, the fixing solution is aspirated from the eyeball, followed by injection into the vitreous body chamber and into the anterior chamber of the eyeball of the agar solution until they are completely filled. After the transformation of the injected agar solution into a gel-like state, the eyeball is trimmed, wired, the tissues are embedded in paraffin, and paraffin sections are made.

EFFECT: invention improves the quality of histological preparations of an enucleated eyeball for reliable detection and diagnosis of pathological disorders in eye diseases.
