FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology, and can be used for isolated extraction and fabrication of histological structures with subsequent study of anatomo-topographic and histological features of vitreous body (VB). Method of isolated extraction and fabrication of VB histological structures involves placement of an autopsy eye into a formalin solution. According to the invention, the autopsy human eye is placed on a substrate, then, leaving the sclera front segment intact, the sclera is cut in four millimetres from the limb in a circle between the rectus muscles to form lobes which are then cut off. Then petals of vascular and mesh shells are formed and cut off. Method comprises sequential staining with suspension of salts of slightly soluble metals of structures of VB: cortical layers, cisterns, channels. Painted VB structures are gradually separated and immobilized on an adhesive-metric plate or in a biopsy bag inserted into the biopsy cartridge, fixed in a formalin solution, dehydrated in alcohol of ascending concentration, poured into paraffin, prepared histological sections and stained with hematoxylin-eosin.

EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of layer-by-layer extraction and histological examination of individual VB structures, which enables to obtain new data on topographic-anatomical relationship between structures, without violating integrity of tissue samples, further histological examination of isolated structures of VB.
