FIELD: metal casting.
SUBSTANCE: gate valve for a metallurgical container comprises a housing (4) fixed on the bottom of the container, an upper inner sleeve (1) of the container, an upper locking plate (5), a lower locking plate (6), a locking plate (8) installed between the plates (5, 6) with the possibility of moving in the longitudinal direction, and two compensation blocks I and II. The upper locking plate (5) is located in the cover (11) of the housing (4). The first compensation block I is formed by a spring system (23) that creates tension forces between the cover (11) and the housing (4), and the pressure plate (5, 6, 8) to each other. The second compensating block II, containing the spring system (30), is equipped with an insert frame (25) installed with the possibility of being pressed against the lower locking plate (6), presses the plates (5, 6, 8) against the upper inner sleeve (1).
EFFECT: increased service life of the refractory parts of the slide gate by compensating for thermal expansion of the plates and expansion or contraction of the upper inner sleeve.
