FIELD: construction methods.
SUBSTANCE: intended to determine the deformation properties of soils in the laboratory. An odometer for compression testing of soils is disclosed, consisting of a working ring, a cylindrical clip, an upper movable and a lower perforated stamp and a pallet with a water tank, while the lower perforated stamp is movable, the movement of which is carried out by a rod located in the pallet, the cylindrical clip is pressed against the pallet with the help of a clamping ring, and at the top of the upper stamp, after it is installed on the upper plane of the sample, the ring is twisted.
EFFECT: improved homogeneity of the stress-strain state of the soil sample and increased accuracy in determining the deformation and rheological characteristics of the soil.
