FIELD: dental care products.
SUBSTANCE: silicon dioxide particles with a median particle size d50 of 8.8 to 15 µm; the value of the ratio (d90-d10)/d50, equal to from 1.1 to 2.0; the value of RDI when the content of particles of silicon dioxide in the composition of the toothpaste, constituting 20 wt.% ranging from 70 to 200; oil absorption in the range from 30 to 62 cm3/100 g; a bulk density after compaction ranging from 52 to 65 lb/ft3; the value of the cleaning index from the film (POP) at a content of 20 wt.% ranging from 80 to 110; and a sphericity coefficient (S80) greater than or equal to 0.9 are proposed. Also a toothpaste and dentifrice compositions comprising the said silica particles, and a method for producing the said particles are proposed.
EFFECT: obtained particles of silicon dioxide have a reduced degree of abrasion of radioactive dentin (IRD).
