SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for torrefaction of biomass and biowaste to obtain biochar suitable for the production of heat and electricity. The complex of equipment for biomass torrefaction, including biowaste, consists of a boiler for generating a heating coolant, a biomass torrefaction reactor connected to a device for removing gaseous torrefaction products. The complex is equipped with a reactor for drying and preliminary torrefaction of the initial biomass, a reactor for cooling the torrefied biomass. At the same time, the reactors for drying and preliminary torrefaction of the initial biomass, for the torrefaction of biomass and for cooling the torrefied biomass are installed sequentially along the direction of the biomass movement, made with biomass input and output nodes. The reactor for drying and preliminary torrefaction of the biomass is connected to the reactor for cooling the torrefied biomass by a pipeline for supplying gaseous products released during the drying of the biomass. The reactor for cooling the torrefied biomass is connected to the reactor for torrefied biomass by a pipeline for supplying superheated water vapor generated during cooling of the torrefied biomass. The boiler is connected by its first outlet and inlet of the heat carrier to the reactor for drying and preliminary torrefaction of the initial biomass, and by the second outlet and inlet of the coolant to the reactor for torrefaction of the biomass.
EFFECT: increased rate of biomass torrefaction due to the treatment of biomass with a gaseous medium comprising superheated water vapor and fireproof cooling of the torrefied biomass.
