FIELD: electric power generation; chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to public utilities, agricultural production and power engineering, in particular to devices for torrefaction of biowaste and production of electric power. Torrefaction and power generation plant comprises furnace with steam generator communicated with stack, steam engine, electric generator and condenser. Plant is equipped with reactor for torrefaction and drying of biowaste and device for supply of mixture of water vapours and gaseous products of torrefaction to furnace with steam generator. Furnace with steam generator is connected by inlet and outlet to corresponding inlet and outlet of reactor for torrefaction and drying of biowaste by pipelines, through which high-temperature liquid heat carrier circulates. Another outlet of the reactor for torrefaction and drying of biowaste is connected by a gas duct to the inlet of the device for feeding a mixture of water vapour and gaseous torrefaction products into the furnace with a steam generator, which is connected by its free outlet to the steam engine via a pipe for supplying a mixture of superheated steam and gaseous torrefaction products.

EFFECT: invention reduces the rate of growth of ash deposits and corrosion of convective heating surfaces, as well as efficient use of the thermal potential of a mixture of water vapour and gaseous torrefaction products released during drying and torrefaction of biowaste.
