FIELD: vacuum shut-off and control valves.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rotary valves and can be used to control the flow of the operating medium. The vacuum butterfly valve comprises a body, a stem rotatably installed in the body hole, a rotary disc fixed on the stem, an elastic sealing ring installed in a groove on the side face of the rotary disc, a drive located outside the body and connected to the stem. The body comprises a passage channel in the form of a truncated cone. The rod is installed with an offset relative to the axis of the rotary disk located with eccentricity, whereas the rod is displaced along the axis of the passage channel as a single displacement. The stem is made with at least two flanges, between which at least one sealing ring of the stem is installed. The body opening is made with a support for the lower collar. The stem is installed in the body bore in such a way that the lower stem collar rests against the lower collar support. An embodiment is also proposed, in which the rod is displaced along the axis of the passage channel and across the specified axis as a double displacement.

EFFECT: creating and maintaining a rarefied gas (vacuum) in the operating chamber.
