FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely vascular surgery and angiology, and can be used to predict the development of restenosis in patients with obliterating atherosclerosis of the arteries of the lower extremities after endovascular interventions on the main arteries of the lower extremities. The level of interleukin-6 (IL-6) in peripheral venous blood and the ancle-brachial index (ABI) are determined, followed by the calculation of the probability of developing restenosis according to the formula P = 1 / (1 + e-Z), where P is the probability of developing restenosis, e is the base of the natural logarithm (Euler number), and z is an indicator calculated as follows: Z = -0.434 + 1.385 * X1 – 10.955 * X2, where X1 is the value of IL-6 before the intervention, X2 is the value of ABI before the intervention.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to effectively predict the development of restenosis in patients with obliterating atherosclerosis of the arteries of the lower extremities after endovascular interventions on the main arteries of the lower extremities by determining the level of IL-6 in the blood and determining the ABI index with the calculation of the probability of developing restenosis using a mathematical apparatus.
