FIELD: hydrophobization of heat-insulating materials.
SUBSTANCE: method for moisture protection of a porous heat-insulating, fire-resistant high-silica material includes applying a moisture-proof coating by pneumatic spraying of a liquid-phase modifier containing water and tricalcium aluminate in the presence of citric and itaconic acids in two layers under a pressure of 0.25-0.3 MPa. Interlayer drying is carried out at a temperature of 15-23°C for 12 hours with final drying at a temperature of 15-23°C for 24 hours.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase the moisture resistance of the heat-insulating material in conditions of high humidity while reducing costs.
