FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: microstrip fixed microwave phase shifter consists of reference (RC) and phase-shifting (FC) channels. The phase-shifting channel is formed by a cascade connection of three segments of a homogeneous single microstrip transmission line with different lengths and wave impedances. A short-circuited loop is connected in parallel to the central segment of the PC formed by a cascade connection of three segments of a homogeneous transmission line with different lengths and wave impedances. The wave impedances of the segments satisfy the following relations: Z1<Z0, Z1<Z2, Z0≈Z2, Z3<Z4<Z5; or Z0>Z1>Z2, Z3>Z4, Z3 = Z5.
EFFECT: creation of a broadband microstrip fixed microwave phase shifter having small overall dimensions with improved frequency characteristics.
