FIELD: inorganic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing a catalyst for the decomposition of ozone. A method for producing a catalyst for ozone decomposition is described, which includes mixing pre-crushed manganese-, nickel-, copper-containing compounds and talum, pressing the mixture into tablets, hydrothermal treatment for 6 hours, drying at a temperature of 120°C for 6 hours and calcination at a temperature of 420°C for 6 hours, and pre-crushed particles of manganese carbonate, nickel carbonate and copper carbonate are mixed with talum in the following ratio of components wt.%: manganese carbonate - 8-14, nickel carbonate - 30-40, copper carbonate - 5-8, talum - the rest; water is added to the mixture until a homogeneous creamy mass is formed, which is laid out in molds, kept in air until hardened, the mixture extracted from the molds is subjected to hydrothermal treatment at a temperature of 70-80°C, dried and calcined, then crushed and pressed into tablets.
EFFECT: reduced porosity and brittleness of catalyst tablets.
