FIELD: filtration of liquids.

SUBSTANCE: cartridge for purifying liquid with a low-humidity filtering medium includes hollow body (1), in the lower part of which there is hole (6) for outflow of the purified liquid, cover (2) with holes (3) for inflow of the liquid to be purified and for air outflow located on the top of body (1), upper means of fixation (4) of filter medium (7) located between body (1) and cover (2), lower means of fixation (5) of filter medium (7) located in the lower part of body (1), filter medium (7) in the form of solid sorbents placed in body cavity (1) between upper and lower fixation means (4, 5). Filter medium (7) contains macroporous weakly acidic cation exchange resin with hydrophilic ionogenic groups with a moisture content of 5 to 30% and is placed in the cavity of housing (1) in an amount that ensures its filling to the level of contact with upper fixation means (4) when the liquid to be purified enters body cavity (1).

EFFECT: increasing liquid filtration rate and increasing throughput of the liquid purification cartridge due to complete removal of air from the cartridge, increasing efficiency of liquid purification from contaminants due to dense filling of the maximum volume of the cartridge body with swollen filter medium, simplifying the cartridge design.
