FIELD: mechanical engineering; metalworking.
SUBSTANCE: technical solution is related in particular to thermal and chemical-thermal processing, and can be used in the heat treatment of steel parts. The method of heat treatment of a steel part is characterized by stepwise heating of the part in a closed heating chamber of a vacuum hardening furnace, in which the part is initially loaded into the heating chamber, the temperature in which reaches 600°C, then raise the temperature to 700°C and keep the part at this temperature for 3-15 minutes, then increase the temperature to 800°C and keep the part at this temperature for 3-15 minutes, then increase the temperature to 810-860°C and hold the part for a period of time equal to 90-120 seconds per 1 mm section of the part, then the part is cooled in a closed cooling chamber of a vacuum hardening furnace with a hardening oil tank with an installed stirrer at a temperature of 30-80°C for 5-25 minutes and leave at 150-175°C within 2-4 hours. Preferably, after cooling, the parts are cold treated at a temperature from -65°C to 0°C for 30-60 minutes.
EFFECT: increasing the manufacturability and environmental friendliness of the method of processing steel parts and improving the quality indicators of the material of the parts obtained in the process of processing.
