FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery.
SUBSTANCE: dissection of the soft tissues of the head is made. Then a craniotomy is performed. A bone flap is formed. A dissection of the dura mater, removal of the tumor of the posterior cranial fossa are performed. The dura mater is then sutured with a continuous suture. Holes are made in the bone flap using a bur evenly over the entire area. A ligature is passed through the holes, with the help of which the bone flap is sutured to the aponeurosis of the soft tissues of the head.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce the risk of postoperative complications in the form of subaponeurotic accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid and postoperative liquorrhea due to tight fit of the bone flap and soft tissues.
