SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of animal husbandry, in particular, to a method for pig selection. Method for selecting pedigree pigs of the Chistogorsky breed includes evaluating and selecting animals based on morphobiochemical parameters of the blood for further reproduction. The haematological and biochemical parameters of the blood of piglets are assessed at the age of 2 months.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows for evaluation and prediction of the productive indicators in young pigs.
