FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. Invention is a method of sampling maternal and paternal groups of pigs during selection, involving selection of maternal forms of Large White and paternal forms of Duroc breeds, their crossing, selection of pigs F1 and their crossing with boars of Duroc breed to produce offspring in F2, obtaining in third generation (F3) offspring with productivity according to target standard, maternal forms of Large white breed and paternal Duroc forms are evaluated by blood groups, determining their genetic structure and genetic similarity between them, wherein the breeding paternal group is formed taking into account high variability of productivity features and high homozygosity, the sow's parent group is formed taking into account a low coefficient of variability in productivity and high level of homozygosity by blood groups.
EFFECT: proposed method will make it possible to produce highly productive and high homozygosity herd.
