SUBSTANCE: machine for cutting shrubs and undergrowth under power lines, in the beds of reservoirs, when carrying out forest maintenance felling. The working body of the machine for cutting shrubs and overgrowth comprises a U-shaped body, a cutter mounted on the body, and a power unit. The cutter is made in the form of three I-beams rigidly interconnected along the side edges of the shelves. On the outer surfaces of the free shelves of the I-beams, flat knives are installed by means of bolted connections. On the sides of the I-beams, on the opposite sides relative to the cutting edges of the flat knives, stiffening ribs are rigidly fixed. At the ends of the cutter, shafts are mounted, installed in couplings, through which they are connected to the power unit through bearing assemblies.

EFFECT: simplification of the design and reduced metal consumption.
