SUBSTANCE: used for cutting bushes and undergrowth under power lines, in reservoir beds, and during forest maintenance fellings. The working body of a machine for cutting bushes and overgrowth contains a housing, a cutting body, and a power unit. The cutting body is made of sections, each of which contains sidewalls made in the form of round plates, rigidly fixed to the hollow body, between which mounting plates with holes are installed on the sides of the body on both sides. Straight knives with triangular teeth relative to the central axis are mounted on plates via bolted connections at an angle of 45°. Straight knives are rotated 90 relative to each other. The sections are tightened together using bolted connections and each subsequent section relative to the previous one is rotated by 60°. Clutches are mounted on the outer sections, through which the shafts of the cutting element are connected to the power unit through bearing units.
