SUBSTANCE: staged combustion device for sulphur recovery using pure oxygen, comprising: a main furnace for sulphur production, which is connected to the first acid gas transportation pipeline and the main oxygen transportation pipeline; a main cooling unit, wherein a gas inlet of the main cooling unit is connected to a gas outlet of the main combustion furnace for sulphur production; an auxiliary combustion furnace for sulphur production, wherein the gas inlet of the auxiliary combustion furnace for sulphur production is in communication with the gas outlet of the main cooling unit through the first stage process gas transportation pipeline, the second acid gas transportation pipeline is connected to the first stage process gas transportation pipeline, and the auxiliary the oxygen transport pipeline is further connected to an auxiliary combustion furnace for sulphur production; an auxiliary cooling unit, wherein a gas inlet of the auxiliary cooling unit is connected to a gas outlet of an auxiliary combustion furnace for sulphur production; and a Claus plant, the gas inlet of the Claus plant being connected to the gas outlet of the auxiliary cooling unit through the second stage process gas transport pipeline, and the gas outlet of the Claus plant being connected to the tail gas transport pipeline. A method for sulphur recovery is described, which is carried out using the device described above.
