SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for differential diagnosis of arterial hypertension in chronic glomerulonephritis and stage III essential arterial hypertension complicated by chronic kidney disease. The method consists in conducting a clinical and anamnestic examination, studying glomerular filtration, lipid fractions of blood serum, and conducting an echocardiographic study. In the presence of a combination of a decrease in the glomerular filtration rate below 60 ml/min, dyslipidemia due to high-density lipoproteins, pulmonary regurgitation and the absence of a history of coronary heart disease, arterial hypertension is detected in chronic glomerulonephritis, otherwise stage III essential arterial hypertension complicated by chronic kidney disease is detected.

EFFECT: method allows to timely prescribe adequate therapy of the underlying disease by dividing patients into patients with arterial hypertension with chronic glomerulonephritis, who need primary treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis and patients with stage III essential arterial hypertension complicated by chronic kidney disease, who need treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system, due to assessment of the totality of the most significant indicators.
