SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiology, and can be used to predict progression of chronic kidney disease in patients with arterial hypertension receiving antihypertensive therapy. Determining the level of renal venous blood flow by Doppler examination of main renal veins and if the difference between maximum and minimum speed is more than 20 cm/s, progression of CKD is predicted with simultaneous decrease in glomerular filtration rate and increase in creatinine concentration.

EFFECT: method enables predicting the progression of chronic kidney disease in the patients with arterial hypertension receiving the antihypertensive therapy by assessing the complex of the most significant parameters.
