FIELD: bactericidal coatings.
SUBSTANCE: coating consists of layers of titanium nitride and hafnium nitride and contains the following chemical elements, wt.%: titanium - 10-12, hafnium - 80-81 and nitrogen - 7-10. Layers of titanium nitride and hafnium nitride are made alternating, have a thickness of 6 to 20 nm, and are parallel to the substrate. The top layer of the coating consists of hafnium nitride. The total thickness of the said coating is between 3 and 6 mcm. In the zone of the plane of contact between the layers of titanium nitride and hafnium nitride, a crystalline substitution phase of TiHfN2 is provided with a thickness of less than 2 nm.
EFFECT: bactericidal coating for implants with increased hardness and increased corrosion resistance.
