FIELD: roll material embossing.
SUBSTANCE: embossing system comprises an embossing frame and an embossing cassette. The embossing cassette comprises at least two shafts and a housing configured to hold said at least two shafts, so that said at least two shafts are detachably mounted in the housing. The embossing frame is configured for removable placement of the embossing cassette, and the embossing frame also comprises positioners configured to interact with the corresponding positioners of the embossing cassette housing at a time when the embossing cassette is placed in the embossing frame, for positioning the embossing cassette in a given position inside the embossing frame. The system additionally comprises a plurality of means for adjusting and correcting the position of the axis of rotation of the corresponding shaft inside the housing. The location of each of the means for adjustment and correction is located at one of the ends of each of the said at least two shafts. Moreover, the specified set of adjustment and correction means is configured to adjust and correct the position in at least two of the following three directions: in the axial direction of the corresponding shaft and in at least one of the two directions specified by two measurements of the plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The embossing frame is additionally configured to create a shell for the adjustment means to make the plurality of means for adjusting and correcting the position of the rotation axis inaccessible from outside the embossing frame at a time when the embossing cassette is placed inside the embossing frame.
EFFECT: embossing system which is designed for relatively large embossing rolls, in particular for in-line embossing.
