SUBSTANCE: method of embossing individually light-reflecting areas on a foil material, wherein the method comprises feeding the foil material into the contact zone of the rollers between a pair of rollers, wherein said pair of rolls comprises a drive roll and a mating roll, providing each of the drive roll and the mating roll, at least in a certain perimeter, with a plurality of positive and negative projections in a staggered order, note here that positive and negative ledges alternate in axial and radial directions. Method further includes, with a given foil material embossing, closure of the plurality of positive and negative protrusions of the mating roll without hindrance and without gaps with the corresponding negative and positive protrusions of the drive roll with the provision of a uniformly closed embossed polyhedral profile on the foil, and also includes profiling each positive and negative protrusion on the drive roll in the form of a polyhedron with n corners with a surface designed to create on the embossed surface of the foil a corresponding individually reflecting light area, note here that surface of every positive ledge corresponds to its upper side while that of every negative ledge corresponds to its lower side.
EFFECT: disclosed is a method of embossing individually light-reflecting areas on foil material and a corresponding roller installation.
