METHOD OF LIFTING PUBIC REGION IN ABDOMINOPLASTY Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2830360 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to plastic and aesthetic surgery, and can be used for complete abdominoplasty. Skin and adipose tissue are dissected in the hypogastric region according to the preliminary marking and in the pubic region along the previously marked horizontal incision line crossing the pubis. Performing abdominoplasty with dissection of abdominal skin-fat flap to level of edge of costal arches and xiphoid process from above, removal of skin-fat excess, closure of diastasis of rectus abdominis muscles, mobilization of a pubic skin fat flap, its displacement in a cranial direction and fixation by Scarpa’s fascia to an aponeurosis of abdominal rectus muscles, drainage and layer-by-layer wound closure. Horizontal lower incision line of the pubic region is placed 4-5 cm above the clitoral hood, and the upper one is in the form of a cone, the apex of which is the upper edge of the umbilical ring. Dissection of the pubic region flap is limited to a pubic symphysis in the central part and inguinal rings laterally. Diastasis of rectus muscles is closed from xiphoid process to pubic symphysis after dissection of pubic region flap. Moving the pubic skin fat flap in the cranial direction is performed to the aponeurosis of the abdominal rectus muscles after the diastasis of the abdominal rectus muscles is closed. Adipocutaneous flap of the pubic region is fixed to the aponeurosis of the abdominal rectus muscles with the help of a continuous two-row blanket suture with an absorbable surgical suture.

EFFECT: method provides a long-term aesthetic and functional result of abdominoplasty, reliable fixation of the pubic region with simultaneous reinforcement of the anterior abdominal wall, avoiding both the risk of recurrent diastasis of rectus muscles of the anterior abdominal wall and recurrent ptosis of the pubic region.
