FIELD: aerosol generating products.

SUBSTANCE: article contains an aerosol generating substrate, wherein the aerosol generating substrate comprises homogenized plant material containing clove particles, wherein the aerosol generating substrate contains: at least 125 micrograms of eugenol per gram of substrate in terms of dry weight, at least 125 micrograms of eugenol acetate per gram of substrate on a dry weight basis; and at least 1 microgram of beta-caryophyllene per gram of substrate on a dry weight basis. The invention also relates to a substrate and a method for producing an aerosol generating substrate, an aerosol and an aerosol generating system.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to manufacture a product with an aerosol generating substrate that provides the consumer with an improved clove flavour compared to the flavour provided in a combustible kretek cigarette.
