SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol-generating article. Aerosol-generating article comprises an aerosol-generating substrate, wherein the aerosol-generating substrate is formed from a homogenised plant material containing from 1 wt.% to 65 wt.% of plant particles other than tobacco, in terms of dry weight; from 15 wt.% to 55 wt.% of the aerosol forming substance in terms of dry weight; from 5 wt.% to 10 wt.% of cellulose ether in terms of dry weight; and from 5 wt.% to 50 wt.% of additional cellulose in terms of dry weight. Additional cellulose is in the form of isolated cellulose and is not obtained from plant particles that are not tobacco, wherein the ratio of additional cellulose to cellulose ether in the homogenised plant material is at least 2. Non-tobacco particles are selected from rosemary particles, star anise particles, ginger particles, cloves particles, eucalyptus particles or combinations thereof.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain an aerosol-generating article with an improved taste and taste fullness in the oral cavity, as well as with reduced sensation of irritation, bitterness or astringent taste compared to sensations provided by a conventional combustible cigarette.
