FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the tasks of classifying an object in the development of hydroacoustic systems. Essence: in the claimed invention, a spectral-temporal analysis of the continuous part of the spectrum (SChS) of the noise emission of an object in 1/3 octave filters is carried out, which is important at high speeds of the object and intensive manoeuvring, the determination of classification features according to the SChS in combination with classification features by discrete components.
EFFECT: increased reliability of the classification.
