The present invention provides a method for the production of polyamides from renewable raw materials or by-products, as well as a method for the production of monomers necessary for the production of polyamide and intermediate products for the synthesis of these monomers.

EFFECT: resulting polyamides have improved properties, namely greater transparency and/or strength and/or toughness and/or stereoregularity, in particular for stereo- or enantioselective applications.
