FIELD: determining coordinates of moving objects.

SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at the development of a method for localizing a moving object using a sensor - a modular magnetometer installed on a movable carrier, with the determination of the actual coordinates of the object, as well as the parameters of its movement (course and speed). The claimed method for determining the coordinates and motion parameters of a magnetic field source by a movable carrier moving in a horizontal plane includes registering and measuring the modulus of the magnetic field vector of the object - the source of the magnetic field with a modular magnetometer of the carrier in N≥5 arbitrarily located points along the path of the carrier, drawing up balance equations for the relative position of the carrier, the object - the source of the magnetic field and the Biot-Savart-Laplace law of attenuation of the modulus of the magnetic induction vector with a change in the distance between the carrier and the source. Next, the carrier is arbitrarily maneuvered with at least one change in its course and (or) speed, the system (N-1)≥4 of balance equations is solved, as a result of which the current coordinates, course and speed of the object are determined at any arbitrary time t.

EFFECT: development of a method for localizing a moving object using a sensor - a modular magnetometer installed on a movable carrier, with the determination of the actual coordinates of the object, as well as the parameters of its movement (course and speed).
