FIELD: chemicals.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of hydrogen peroxide, which is used in the chemical industry as an oxidizing agent for various substances, in medicine and pharmaceuticals as a disinfectant, as well as in water purification and water treatment, in agricultural chemistry. To obtain hydrogen peroxide under the action of a barrier discharge plasma onto water, the surface of the electrodes is covered with a film of water flowing over them. The process takes place in a double-barrier flow reactor in an argon or carbon dioxide medium with an amplitude of high-voltage pulses of 8.1 kV, a repetition frequency of 2000 Hz, and an active discharge plasma power of 4.6 W for carbon dioxide and 3.5 W for argon. The flow rate of water in this case is 0.4 ml/min, and the flow rate of argon or carbon dioxide is 60 ml/min.
EFFECT: simplified production of hydrogen peroxide while increasing the yield of the product, excluding the use of catalysts, solvents or electrolytes.
