SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to obtain a sterile cryopreserved allogeneic tendon graft for subsequent use in traumatology, orthopedics, maxillofacial surgery, reconstructive microsurgery. The method of sterilization of tendon grafts is as follows: the tendons are impregnated with a cryopreservative solution, the graft is packed by placing the graft first in the first polyethylene cryopack with perforations perforated for gas and liquid, then in the second cryopack made with at least one hole permeable for gas and liquid, then the cryopacks with the graft are placed in a medical bag intended for sterilization in a gaseous medium, permeable in closed form for the corresponding sterilizing agent and impermeable to microorganisms, the medical bag with the graft is sealed, followed by sterilization in a supercritical carbon dioxide medium. During the sterilization process, the pressure is increased to 100 atm, the sterilization process is completed by lowering the pressure to the initial value at a rate of not more than 0.4 atm per minute. An apparatus for sterilizing tendon grafts is also disclosed.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining a sterile allogeneic tendon graft with the possibility of long-term storage at ultra-low temperatures, while maintaining the native tissue structure and physical and mechanical properties.
